I’ve been on the matcha train for a few years ago. My preferred coffee shop drink has been dirty matcha (shot of espresso) with oak milk. Matcha gives me the zing and concentration throughout the day, unlike the high and low that straight coffee gives. After fatiguing my adrenals with coffee I had to make the full switch to matcha. I will have coffee here and there on the weekends because I still love the taste, but this is my everyday morning drink now.

The taste isn’t for everyone, when starting to drink matcha you can sweeten it with cane sugar and wean yourself off. Now for a sweetener I only use a bit of date syrup. It took me a while to perfect the warm matcha at home, practice does make perfect, I’ve nailed it!

Aside from its focusing powers this Japanese tea has very good health benefits including small amounts of vitamins and very rich in antioxidants.

Enjoy! xx
