A Day In The Catskills
A few weeks ago we adventured to the Catskills, NY for the day to explore and see some fall foliage. First stop was Kaaterskill Falls, this is known to be the tallest waterfall in New York spanning 90 ft taller than Niagra Falls. Parking was very limited, we were in no rush so we waited in the parking for about half an hour until the next spot opened up. The hike itself wasn’t too bad, some steep inclines, it took us maybe 20 minutes to get to the base of the falls. The falls were tiered, after the first viewpoint we hiked up to the second set for a closer view. After the falls we wandered into the town of Hudson for some lunch. To our surprise this town was quiet lively and lined with stylish shops and resturants. As a design enthusiast myself I was a happy camper window shopping from one store to the next. I could see this quant town would be a perfect weekend getaway in the winter months, I had spotted a few cozy looking hotels possibly for our next trip back, because we certainly will be!
