DIY: MODERN HOLIDAY WREATH

Lets do this, first Holiday(ish) post!   This is a fun little project I actually did last year; I am thinking of tackling again this because it was so easy & it doesn't have a traditional bulky wreath look that i'm in love with.  This years decorating aesthetic I am going to take a different spin on things and step aside from the more traditional decorations and incorporate elements that can be used all year around, but still give you that cozy holiday feeling.

WHAT YOU WILL NEEED

+ 14 inch metal ring

+ scissors

+ eucalyptus branches

+ red berry branches

-> I picked up the eucalyptus and red berry branches from Trader Joes, they always have a good selection.  After having the wreath up for a few weeks, the eucalyptus didn't keep as well over time.  Dare I say it, fake plants may be a good route to go too.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

+ lay out the Eucalyptus, you want the largest filler to be in the back

+ arrange the berries overtop the Eucalyptus until they fit correctly, you may have to do some trimming here

+ tie the ribbon a quarter from the bottom into a knot to secure the foliage together.  Then wrap around about 20-30 more times, covering 2-3 inches to make sure they are secured.  When it comes to the end of the ribbon, tie a bow, or let hang - whichever you prefer with your aesthetic.
