A Spice Drawer Upgrade

It is really underrated how good a clean, organized and labeled spice drawer elevates your cooking experience! When I began to look at spice containers and system I was overwhelmed by the number of styles and brands out there and styles. I couldn’t decide if I wanted stoppers on them or an open top, sizes and would they fit in the drawer I had. Sometimes when I have too many tasks at hand I just keep putting things off until that one day it really pushes me to the edge then it get it done furiously, so that was me with my spice drawer. As you can see the before situation was really a disaster… Starting with the base, I decided to go with a clear acrylic tiered system as it was a bit less expensive than the more popular bamboo options, but I figured there is wood on the base of the drawer anyways and the spices are mostly covering so I didn’t feel the extra dollars were worth the splurge. I then got 2 packs of these glass spice containers. If you dont use that many spices you can certainly get away with 1 pack. I used about half of the second pack but now I have some extra if i decide to add any new spices in the future. The quality of the jars are great, they come with plastic top stoppers for an easy shake, and bamboo lids that nicely turn on. The larger jars I got to put in my chia seeds, hemp seeds, and ground flax/hemp combo. These I use daily and wanted an easy grab. The rest of the set I will use for teas or larger herbs eventually. Also in my spice drawer I keep THE Maldon Salt (aka the best salt) in this salt cellar, and the sugar in this wooden swivel top container. Another latest addition has been this salt and pepper grinder that I got meanwhile until I found a set that I love but turns out these are really great quality. And while we are on the topic of spices, I might as well share my new favorite spice brand. I first seen them at Star Market and was attracted to the organic and all natural options. So, naturally I looked more into the brand and it turns out they have great values, many options and clean & fresh products are their top priority.
