A Special Gift Idea For GRANDMAS

Growing up one of my favorite memories is picking wild flowers in the fields of Saskatchewan and brining the tangled bunch home to grandma. She would find a vase, fill it with water and put them on display for the world to see. It was such a small act, but it’s something special that has stuck with me over the years. Although I grew up with a connection to this specifically, this would be a special gift for any grandma to receive in the mail. I pressed the flowers for about an hour in parchment paper inside some heavy books to flatten them down to fit inside the card. As an extra little touch I included polaroid pictures of Maximus “picking” the flowers. Another tangeble element that adds to the moment. At Trader Joes I always look through their card section and grab cute ones that might come in handy for the future. The card I picked up a few months ago was a Plantable Wildflower Seeded Card by a company called Just Honest. They have a BEAUTIFUL selection of cards, as well as other natural products they offer. Its coincidental how much the flowers matched to the card we picked, a serendipitous moment i’d say! Anyways, thought I would share this easy idea, I know its something that would brighten my day to receive in the mail!
