An Unplugged Weekend In Chertsey Quebec (area)
The end of August I had some unexpected travel home, so on the way back to Boston we decided to make the best of the situation and take a little weekend getaway just north of Montreal in the Chertsey area. We stayed in this relaxing Air BnB over labor day weekend. It was the perfect spot to unplug and just relax in nature. The Air BnB itself had things to do like kyak, hot tub, a paddle boat and the main reason we booked the place, a beatiful outdoor fireplace. We love our outdoor fires, especially when its far outside of the city and you can see the stars. The house was situated on Lac Lili, a very small residential lake that was so peaceful. You could tell that there was a lot of beautiful rentals in this area, i’ve listed a few other cute options below A short drive away we found an adorable town where we had lunch at Café O'Marguerites in Sainte-Marguerite-du-Lac-Masson. A short walk from this restaurant we walked down to the small marina, in summer I imagine this place is a happening place! After we ate and explored this area a bit, we took a drive around the area while Max had his afternoon nap. The evening we got our own groceries and made our favorite lemon pasta - i’ll have to share that recipe with you guys SOON! One of the days we had lunch at this spot called Casse-Croute 125 it was a delicious french-fast food style restaurant. On the way home we stopped for lunch in Montreal and walked around old-Montreal for a bit. It was a beatiful drive back down to Boston. We stopped for a quick leg-stretch break at The Basin in New Hampshire, I love this area and trail so much its absolutely stunning. After we let Maximus run around there for a bit and enjoyed the fresh mountain air we were back on the road home. It was truly a great destination to just relax and enjoy the outdoors. Here are a few of our favorite moments…
